The Dieffenbachia originally comes from the dense rainforests of South and Central America, where it thrives in the light shade of the jungle giants. The location preferences of our room hybrids are also based on this.

The Dieffenbachia prefers to be in partial shade

The Dieffenbachia is not a sun worshiper

The plant with the attractively colored foliage prefers a light to partially shaded place on the windowsill. A south-facing window is unsuitable, an east or west location is better. She also feels comfortable on a north-facing window that is not too cool and dark.

You don't like constant drafts at all, so a location in front of a regularly tilted window or near a door is not ideal. Also pay attention to heat, the temperature should not drop below twenty degrees, and ensure sufficient humidity.

tips

If the Dieffenbachia is too dark in its place, it forms smaller leaves that often no longer have a pattern and occasionally turn yellow. Then place the plant in a brighter spot or provide better lighting conditions with a plant lamp (€21.99).
