The hemp palm loves the sun
At least two to three hours of sun per day
In order for hemp palms to grow and form many new leaves, they need a very bright location. In an ideal spot, the fan palm will receive at least two to three hours of direct sunlight each day.
Favorable locations for hemp palms are:
- Flower windows in west and south direction
- bright conservatories
- sunny terraces in summer
- sunny to partially shaded place when cared for outdoors
When tending behind glass windows, you should make sure that the tips of the leaves do not turn brown from too much sun. If necessary, shade the palm tree during midday.
