The rubber tree (lat. Ficus elastica) is a fairly undemanding houseplant that does not require any special care. If you only pay attention to a few basic things, then you will surely enjoy your decorative rubber tree for a long time.

Commercially available potting soil is completely sufficient for the rubber tree, it should be rather low in nutrients. If necessary, you can mix some sand or fine pebbles into the soil. Immediately after repotting, do without fertilizer for a few months. Place the plant in a bright, warm place.
