Native Drosera species bloom from March to August.

The sundew varieties best suited to beginners, Cape sundew and Drosera aliciae, produce flowers in December and January.

As a prerequisite for the formation of flowers, the plant must receive sufficient light and plenty of sun outdoors. Nevertheless, the white, violet, yellow or red flowers only appear for a few days.

tips

Sundew flowers are very small and often inconspicuous. If you also want to take care of Drosera for flowering, you should buy hybrid varieties. These develop larger flowers and are usually more robust.
