As part of professional care, a change of location is repeatedly on the agenda for a knight's star. We have summarized for you where your amaryllis should be in the course of its subtropical vegetation cycle.

Multiple moves are obligatory
Immigrated from the subtropical regions of South America, the amaryllis as a bulbous plant places particular demands on its respective location. A repeated move is unavoidable, as the following overview shows:
- During the flowering period: Bright, not full sun location with temperatures between 18 and 22 degrees Celsius
- During the growth phase: Sunny, warm location on the balcony or in the summer garden
- At the time of rest: Dark and cool, with temperatures between a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 9 degrees Celsius
Please avoid abrupt changes of location. This is especially true if your knight star gets a place under the open sky after flowering. To prevent the leaves from getting sunburnt, first harden the plant off in partial shade for 8 to 10 days.
