The snapdragon is one of those flowering plants that have been native to our gardens for hundreds of years. Easy to care for and robust, it adorns itself with beautiful flowers, the shape of which is reminiscent of a lion's mouth and which gave the plant its catchy name. But which months does the perennial bloom?

Extremely long flowering period
The snapdragon opens the first buds as early as May and, weather permitting, can bloom into November. The only prerequisite for this very long flowering period is that you regularly remove faded flowers so that the snapdragon puts all its energy into flowering and not into seed formation.
tips
Too dark, shady locations inhibit the growth of the plant and mean that it hardly flowers. A place in full sun or in the light shade is ideal.
