How are the onions planted?

Planting the bulbs is easy:

  • Soak in lukewarm water for a few hours
  • Prepare pot or bed with soil
  • dig a hole 5 to 6 cm deep
  • Place the tuber in the hole with the roots down, cover with soil and press down
  • Distance between individual bulbs: 10 to 15 cm
  • water only when the plants sprout from the soil

Anyone who has harvested the seeds after the flowering period can of course also sow the ranunculus! Sowing is best done between September and October. In order to ensure the survival of the newly hatched plants, it is advisable to put them in pots and overwinter them in a cool but frost-free place.
