Blue cypresses shoot up quite quickly. In return, the plants usually remain quite slender. The planting distance depends on whether you want to grow the blue cypress as a single plant or as a hedge. For hedge plants, the planting distance may be shorter.

Planting distance of solitary blue cypresses
A solitary blue cypress only really comes into its own if it is not too crowded by other plants. In addition, the false cypress should get as much sun as possible.
The planting distance should be between two and three meters, depending on the desired final height.
Planting distance in the hedge
In the hedge, the planting distance can be smaller, since you will then cut the blue cypresses regularly.
The distance should be between 30 and 50 centimeters.
tips
All parts of the blue cypress tree are poisonous to both humans and animals. If children and pets use the garden, it is better not to plant false cypresses. This also applies if horses or cattle are grazing on the neighboring property.
